MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferred majors: Business, Marketing, or Engineering. (In lieu of Bachelor's degree, suitable industrial or sales experience may also be considered.)
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Prior industrial sales, marketing and quoting experience preferred (three to five years forging, or heavy metal sales experience preferred).
  • Strong personal computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheet software.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to prioritize multiple projects.
  • Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Must be self-directed, motivated and results oriented, with a strong desire to succeed.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings is preferred.

RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FOLLOWING:

  • Answer customers' questions about products, availability, product uses and credit terms
  • Develop quotes for customers using various systems to determine pricing
  • Provide support to other custom forge and/or EGI customers
  • Use discretion on how to process and quote orders to the customer
  • Prepare all quotes and respond to inquiries independently
  • Generate order change notices - cancellations, size changes, etc.
  • Complete order processing of pick up orders
  • Develop, monitor, and distribute customer order status reports
  • Work collaboratively with internal staff including Operations, Production Planning, Metallurgy, Raw Material Planning and other divisions to meet customers' sales/service needs, and solve problems
  • Meet attendance requirements

  • Perform other duties as deemed necessary
