Note: This is an onsite position located at our Cleveland, MS manufacturing facility. Relocation will be provided to the Cleveland, MS area.

Your role at Baxter

Baxter Healthcare is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Human Resources Rep to join our dynamic human resources team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our HR Director and other members of the HR team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to advance their career in HR and potentially move into a leadership role!

This position will provide Human Resource Business Partner and Generalist support at our Cleveland, Mississippi manufacturing facility, with a focus on employee relations, talent management, employee engagement, and HR policy administration. Standard on site work hours apply (Monday - Friday approximately 8-5pm) with ability to flex schedule one to two days a week to support off shifts a week (11am - 7pm or 3pm - 11pm).

What you'll be doing
  • Participate in local talent planning which includes implementation of function-wide training and development plans and talent management support including support of leadership assessment process
  • Develop and lead proactive "employer of choice" initiatives to drive employee motivation, diversity, employee retention and positive work environment.
  • Plan and implement strategic Human Resource initiatives and programs; Define the measures and necessary investments for deployment
  • Lead new hire onboarding, enabling an accelerated and successful assimilation of new hires
  • Collaborate with plant leadership on HR and business related issues, both strategic and operational.
  • Proactively communicate and interpret HR policies, practices and key HR programs to employees and managers including employee relations, ADA accommodations, staffing, leave of absence and compensation issues in partnership with managers.
  • Data management responsibilities to include processing workflow changes in Workday, audits of data, earnings uploads and data correction workflows
  • Responsible for designing and completing various sized projects in coordination with partners inside and outside of the local facility
  • Maintain measurement systems and analyze data to determine the impact of HR programs.
  • Sustain a clean and safe work area using 6S principles
  • Learn, understand and apply thorough quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)

Education and Experience
  • Associate's Degree Required; Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • 3 plus years of Human Resources professional experience with experience in both a Generalist and HR Business Partner role. PHR, SPHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred
  • Experience in a large manufacturing environment preferred
  • Demonstrable knowledge of HR management components such as training, compensation, performance management, change leadership and interpersonal design. Validated application of those skills and partnership with HR Centers of Expertise also needed.
  • Successful track record persuading and influencing at multiple levels of an organization, building positive relationships, effective presentation skills, and handling multiple priories
  • The incumbent must have strong project and process management skills and strong advising skills. Work with Leadership Team members and employees from a variety of locations (globally).
  • Strong HR process orientation (Compensation, Talent Mgmt, etc).
  • Employee relations experience; experience working with employees to rollout processes or policies, resolve issues, etc.

At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary range for this position is $80,000 - 110,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
