Essential Functions, Skills, Knowledge, and Ability
Inspects crane for defective parts and notifies supervisor of defects or malfunctions.
Manipulates or depresses crane controls to regulate speed and direction of crane and hoist movement.
Observes load hookup, lifting or clamping devices and determines safety of load.
Follows direction of cutting line operators as to type and quantity of material to position on conveyors for filling orders.
Assist with staging of newly poured buns for curing.
Performs maintenance functions to operate, inspect, and request service on Overhead Crane in Bun Storage area.
Work independently under general direction to set priorities, manage workload, meet deadlines, and accomplish goals even under changing deadlines and with multiple interruptions to achieve the highest productivity.
Analyze minor malfunctions and report findings to Maintenance and Production Supervision.
Cleans and maintains crane and hoisting mechanism as necessary.
Be able to read and understand manuals.
Cleans and maintains work area as prescribed by supervisor.
Encourage and maintain good housekeeping.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Must be able to follow verbal and/or written instructions given in English by Company Supervisory Personnel, Co-workers and customer representatives.
Licensed Lift Truck Operator.
Assist in inventory to maintain proper stock levels of various products.
Assist measuring warehouse material for inventory purposes.
Promote and support an environment of cooperation.
Sufficient endurance is required to perform the tasks assigned over long periods of time and assigned work hours ie. 12 hours/day and 6 days/wk are required to meet customer driven workloads at various times.
