ABB is seeking a Program Manager for the ELSP (Electrification Smart Power) Manufacturing Execution System (MES). This role will lead the implementation of an MES in the Senatobia plant and for the NAM Region.

Global Project Planning & Controls Manager

Your responsibilities

  • Lead the ELSP Manufacturing Execution System (MES) project and program. Establish the project execution approach and oversees project handover, execution planning, and monitoring and control activities for both internal and external resources in order to accomplish all project goals
  • Maintain active involvement in continuous improvement and simplification of the MES program and project methodology. Develop and improve standards, guidelines, tools and templates to support the MES program
  • Develop and present systems strategies, technical roadmaps, risks and recommendations to senior leaders across ABB
  • Oversee adherence to execution best practices and ABB policies, including monitoring progress, resource efficiency, financials, risk management, and lesson sharing
Your background

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science OR 4 year accredited degree with 8 years of experience within Manufacturing or Computer Science related role.
  • Working knowledge of MES and ERP systems, materials management and production control, Critical Manufacturing MES and SAP preferred
  • Experience implementing MES projects
  • Proven track record of performing program / project management and/or change management role for mid to large size projects
  • Strong organizational development and change management capabilities
  • Experience with discrete manufacturing
  • Capability to analyze and synthesize information obtained from various groups of stakeholders
  • Strong skill set to elicit the actual needs of stakeholders and facilitate communication between organizational units
  • Understanding of operational and financial metrics
  • Experience with production control, specifically MES/ECS systems
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs/projects
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
  • Availability to travel up to 35%, some international travel
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
