CF Industries offers many exciting and challenging opportunities at its world class production facility in Yazoo City Mississippi. This position is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day logistics of the rail fleet at the Yazoo City plant and port facilities to meet plant production needs and customer shipping schedules. Persons in this position will have the additional responsibility for assisting with the logistics involved in barge shipping at the Yazoo Port. This position communicates daily with corporate supply chain personnel regarding orders, scheduling and product availability to ensure efficient product movement.

Job Description

Utilizes various transportation provider software systems to facilitate material movement, planning and scheduling to ensure all shipments leaving the plant have correct billing and proper shipping documentation.

Communicates with corporate supply chain regarding orders, scheduling and product availability.

Coordinates and documents daily activity to track location and movement of inventory, finished goods and raw materials via rail cars, barges and truck.

Communicates with CN Railroad to order rail equipment for each product line.

Provides reports to internal and external customers as required by completing forms, reports, and maintaining database and filing system.

Routinely interacts with wide range of personnel including operations, sales and CN railroad personnel

Submits daily switch request for railcars to the CN Railroad.

Perform daily trace of empty railcars coming to the Yazoo City plant.

Coordinates bad order cars with on-site mobile railcar repair company.

Supports plant on truck related issues for customer and CPU shipments.

Available to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Follows all safety policies and procedures.

Performs other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the department and the company.

SUCCESSFUL INCUMBENTS WILL HAVE:

AA or BS degree highly desirable.

Minimum of 2 years' logistics/distribution experience preferred.

Knowledge of SAP or relevant logistics/shipping programs desirable.

Effective organizational, time management and communication skills, both verbal and written.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of Products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
