About the Habitat AmeriCorps Program
Habitat for Humanity receives funding from the federal agency, AmeriCorps, to support the Habitat
AmeriCorps program.

Habitat AmeriCorps is part of the growing national service movement. In partnership with Habitat
organizations throughout the U.S., our program places AmeriCorps members to serve in the field and in
the office to build and repair homes, expand housing services and engage the community.

A paid service term with Habitat AmeriCorps provides hands-on nonprofit experience that allows
members to learn and develop lifelong skills and confidence. Roughly 40% of AmeriCorps members
obtain a permanent staff position with a Habitat organization after completing our program. Over 50%
of members surveyed said their AmeriCorps service made them change their career path. Read stories

Opportunities to serve are available year-round in most states throughout the U.S. To join Habitat
AmeriCorps, an applicant must be a U.S. citizen, national or lawful permanent resident at least 18 or
older and have a high school diploma or GED. There may be additional requirements that will be noted
on each opening.

We have a critical need for AmeriCorps members in select locations. Apply to serve where you are
